Rwanda banned concerts in December after a rise in Covid cases

Rwanda has lifted a ban on musical performance and shows under its new corona virus adjustment.

The embargo was commenced in December following a rise in Covid-19 cases ascribed to the Omicron variant.

The cabinet has concluded that concert organizers must seek authorization 10 days before the event.

The concert tickets will be sold online and the endorsed capacity is 50% for indoor venues and 75% for outdoor.

Those attending concerts must provide evidence of vaccination.

Theatres and cinema halls have as well been permitted to reopen with 50% capacity.
