North Korea and its leader Kim Jong-un are recurrent subjects of news stories in Western media, which climax the doctrinaire control over everyday life, its savage treatment of the opposition, and moves to praise the Kim family.
Notwithstanding many of these stories are unsubstantiated or blown out of segment. So why are they still so popular? And what do we actually need to know concerning North Korea?
