Masten Wanjala who confessed to killing over 10 children in Kenya has escaped from police custody in Nairobi.
He was due to appear in court on Wednesday over the killing of at least 14 boys in the capital, and areas of eastern and western Kenya.
According to Police they noticed he had disappeared during the routine morning roll call.
His detention was sequel to the on-going police investigations into the series of child murder that surprised and upset the nation.
All the three police officers on duty at the time of his disappearance from Jogoo Road police station, in the East lands area of Nairobi, have been apprehended for interrogation.
Authorities have set in motion a serious hunt for the man described as extremely dangerous.
Wanted Mr Wanjala was nabbed in July and confessed to drugging and murdering the young boys, as well as drinking their blood in most cases.
