Two people died and eight others are missing following plunging of a truck into River Nile in Egypt.
The accident occurred outside the capital Cairo while the truck was on board an unauthorized ferry.
Rescue operations have proceeded at the river. Until now 14 survivors have been rescued, as stated by media report.
The truck was carrying farm workers who were on their way from work.
Children were reported to have been on board with their parents.
The truck driver and three ferry workers have been apprehended and the search for the owner of the ferry is in progress.
Mishaps on the River Nile are common and have mainly been ascribed to the lack of conformity to set rules.
