Firemen acted the hero of a canine who had been savagely lost a scaffold into the Harlem River Tuesday evening.
The FDNY Marine Unit 4 dashed to the scene and found a Good Samaritan gripping to the canine from the shore trying to keep his head over the water as he battled to remain above water.
Firemen had the option to haul the white and earthy colored dog out of the bustling stream and onto the fireboat.
They brought the canine aground so he could certainly stand out.
“Without the speedy reaction from both the non military personnel and FDNY individuals, the result for this creature might have been totally different,”
the FDNY said in a proclamation.
The little guy has all the earmarks of being a Pitbull blend. The division didn’t have additional data on the age or state of the canine.
A woman who works for the city and commented on the FDNY’s Instagram post about the rescue said the dog was brought to the Animal Care Center of Brooklyn and has already been adopted from the shelter. The FDNY was unable to confirm this.
