Brazilian town floods following two dams collapse

Following weeks of heavy rain bewildering already swollen rivers, two dams in Brazil’s Bahia state burst and flooded neighboring towns.

In the town of Itabuna, inhabitants could be seen using elastic rafts and canoes to deliver supplies to neighbors.

The rains have caused not less than 18 deaths in Bahia since the beginning of November and thousands of people have been relocated from some of the 67 towns facing more flooding.
