Africa’s lost ‘Motown’ years regained

A young Senegalese music producer is digitalizing one of the massive back directories of African music in the world.

Binetou Sylla’s father established the African label Syllart Records and founded some of the continent’s largest names.

Till the project started, much of the music from the legendary label had barely been obtainable on vinyl records and CDs.

Binetou intends to make this unremembered legacy the future of African hip-hop.
