A digitalizing archive of pre-WW2 documents, books and cultural artefacts revealing how members of the Jewish community communicate themselves through art, literature and music, has gone online.
A lot of items were demolished by the Nazis, nevertheless 4.1 million of them survived.
The design is being set afloat at a time of rising anti-Semitic attacks and hooliganism.
It is the climax of a project financed by the New York-based Institute for Jewish Research in partnership with libraries in Lithuania.
