Bob Saget was laid to rest Friday in Los Angeles after his ill-timed death this week at the age of 65.
The comic and television star was grieved for by wife Kelly Rizzo and a host of VIPs friends who paid their respects at Mount Sinai Memorial Park in Forest Lawn Cemetery, his eventual resting place.
Comedians who attended for Saget comprised of Dave Chappelle, Kathy Griffin, Chris Rock, Jimmy Kimmel and Jeff Ross, who served as a pallbearer in company with John Mayer, Judd Apatow, Ted Sarandos, Steve Hale and Saget’s
co-stars, Dave Coulier and John Stamos.
Associate “Full House” alums Candace Cameron Bure, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen as well took part in the service in memorial of their television dad.
The Jewish service received well over 100 guests mourning “America’s Dad,” who was transported to the cemetery in a blue Chevrolet hearse.
Saget died in his sleep Sunday night soon following a performance.
Stars have been recalling Saget all week, with donkey’s years friend Stamos tweeting following the funeral,
“Today will be the hardest day of my life. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”
Stamos as well took to Twitter to mourn his friend and co-star upon hearing news of his death Sunday, writing,
“I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.”
“My heart is broken. I love you, Bob. Your forever brother, Dave.”
“I don’t know what to say,”
his TV daughter Bure shared when she heard the news.
“I have no words. Bob was one of the best human beings I’ve ever known in my life. I loved him so much.”
“Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man. We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has,”
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen said in memory of Saget in a declaration procured by Page Six.
A widowed Rizzo spoke of being “shattered” by the passing of her husband.
“My whole heart. Bob was my absolute everything,”
the way of life specialist told Page Six on Monday.
“I am so completely shattered and in disbelief. I am so deeply touched by the outpouring of love and tribute from our friends, family, his fans and his peers.”
